We’re glad you’re here! We hope our website helps you learn more about who we are and what we’re all about. We also hope that you’ll take the time to visit us in person! For many people, going to a new church (or any church at all) can be an uncomfortable experience. We thought we’d try to ease that by letting you know what to expect on any given Sunday. Take a look at the video below.
What to Wear
If you’re asking this question–you’re not alone! It’s a common question many people have and we’re more than happy to answer it. So what should you wear to our church? Wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. If you feel comfortable in jeans, wear jeans. If you like dressing up, then by all means do so. Some dress casual, others like to dress up so wear what you feel best in.
When You Arrive
Plan to arrive at Conard High School (110 Beechwood Road, West Hartford) earlier to get yourself parked and situated. We recommend arriving around 10-15 minutes before service. When you drive to Conard you’ll see a large parking lot. Park there and then make your way to the front of the building where you’ll see a Calvary Fellowship banner letting you know you’re in the right place.
As you step inside, you’ll see lots of friendly faces welcoming you so if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask them. When you arrive at the auditorium doors, you’ll be handed a bulletin with message notes and announcements. Make your way inside, find a seat and enjoy the service.
Calvary Kids provides fun and biblically based classes for your children. You’ll find the check-in station all the way down the hall past the auditorium doors. Our check-in system is computerized and secure, which insures the safety of your children. Relax and enjoy the service while your children learn and have fun in age-appropriate classes. If you don’t feel comfortable leaving your children at Calvary Kids, there’s a family area where the whole family can watch the service via high definition video. (Click here for more info on Calvary Kids)
We start with our worship team leading through worship songs. Announcements are next, followed by the message. Our teachings are biblically based, thought provoking and relevant to everyday life. After the message, we have a time of response, which includes one last song. And that’s it! The entire service lasts about 75 minutes.
After The Service
If you’re new be sure to head over to the guest center after church where we have a special gift for you and we can answer any questions you may have. We also encourage you to join us in the cafeteria for free Dunkin Donuts coffee and refreshments. This is a great way to meet other folks at Calvary. We hope you’ll come check it out!
