We encourage all church attenders to seriously consider being the hands, feet and heart of Christ on a short-term mission trip.
McDowell Country, West Virginia
June 17-22, June 24-29, July 13-19, and August 10-16
We have an exciting opportunity for you and your family to participate in a missions trip to West Virginia! We have two, four-week long trips planned in June, July and August. Teams will be heading to McDowell County one of the poorest counties in the U.S. Would you prayerfully consider joining with the expectation of learning about rural Appalachia poverty as well as providing intentional care and assistance to those in the area? If you have any questions please contact Brian.
Depending on your trip it may include a visit to Beckley Mine Museum, 5 Loaves & 2 Fish Food Bank, ministering to residents in Holler #5 and partnership with Big Creek People in Action to assist them in their mission to the community.
August 10-16 is a work trip (must be high school or older). Though it will include a time to learn about the area, it’s primary focus is on partnering with Warrior Creek Development and Hope Force International in construction work. It may include tearing off a roof or installing a new one. Be prepared for anything in the way of physical labor.
Costs: $350/person with a maximum of $900 for a family. Price includes food, lodging and materials but does not include transportation.
Transportation: July 13-19 trip goers are responsible for their own transportation via car. It’s roughly a 12 hour drive. August 10-16 trip will be through carpool options.
We are privileged to be able to partner with Praying Pelican Missions and Grace Community Church in the village of Granbouchi every year. If you are interested in learning more about our Haiti, contact Candace
