What’s the Point?
Brian Wagner / July 12, 2018
When we dive into the scriptures we quickly realize that there is a message throughout its pages. There is something that is evident in each chapter and verse. It isn’t hard to see, but it’s something we forget quite easily.
We’ve come to believe through our culture that it’s all about us. Everything is tailored to our preferences and comforts that before long we think it must be true–it is all about me! This becomes even more dangerous when we approach God, the Church, and the Bible in the same fashion. When we believe that God’s purpose is me, the Church’s purpose is me, and the Bible is about me, we misunderstand the reality in which we live.
Jesus is the point of it all! He always has been and always will be.
Join us on Sunday as we start our new series, What’s the Point? We will take a look at Abraham and his interaction with God, revealing how the entire bible and its characters point to the person and work of Jesus Christ. As we do, we will take an honest look at our own lives and consider if they too point to Jesus.
